If the human ear can only hear frequncies up to about 20-22KHz, then what's the point of using a higher sampling rate in digital audio, such as 48KHz?

If WWF says the Amazon rainforest produces 20% of the worlds oxygen, how is this possible if it is such a small amount of land mass compared to grass, trees and brush in the rest of the world.

Would taking a cellulase supplement the way lactose intolerant people take lactase allow a human to each grass and other no digestible plant matter? If so, could this be a way of addressing world hunger?
